Royal Navy Ships

Henry Robb Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, built a wide variety of vessels for the Royal Navy, from which subsequently a good number of the ships were to find their way into some of the other Navy’s of the World.

Starting with HMS BISHOPSGATE in 1932. Which was a Gate lifting vessel ordered from the Admiralty, which was part of an order to build two netlayers at the same time.

In 1935 the shipyard also designed and built the first of class in the Dog Class armed trawler, HMS BASSET which was the fore runner of all future armed trawlers for some time to come.
